Hailing from a small, tight-knit community in northern Ontario, Canada, Dr. Kasandra's story is one of passion and discovery. Growing up in a loving family with an older sister, she initially embarked on a journey in Biomedical Science at Laurentian University. It was here that she first encountered the transformative world of chiropractic, a discovery that would redefine her path.
Driven by this newfound passion, Dr. Kasandra pivoted her focus, earning her Bachelor of Science and gaining early acceptance into the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. Embracing the challenge, she journeyed far from home, determined to realize her dream of becoming a chiropractor.
Her dedication and commitment shone brightly throughout her chiropractic studies. In a serendipitous twist, during a chiropractic seminar in her final year, she met her future husband, Dr. Leo. Dr. Kasandra's academic excellence was recognized with the Virgil Strang Award, an honor bestowed upon a single student for their outstanding contribution to the philosophy of chiropractic.
Dr. Kasandra's journey also led her on a mission trip to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, where she honed her adjusting techniques and deepened her commitment to healing and care.
After graduating with Cum Laude honors in September 2015, she moved to Des Moines to be closer to Dr. Leo, practicing as Dr. Kasandra Miles at ADIO Chiropractic. During these three years, she became an integral part of the community, engaging in volunteer activities and leading a business-networking group.
In July 2018, Dr. Kasandra and Dr. Leo tied the knot, marking the start of a new chapter together. Eager to realize their shared dream, they moved to Charleston, a place they had grown to love, to open their dream practice.
Now, as a vital part of the Charleston community, Drs. Kasandra and Leo are thrilled to offer their expertise and care, bringing health and wellness to the people of the South.
