Getting started at the studio
01 What happens at a first visit?
Your care starts with analysis, not guesswork. We use in-house digital radiography and X-ray, pinpoint the involved segment with Gonstead-style specific adjusting, and adjust by hand. From there, the doctors build your spinal corrective care plan.

Pediatric and family care
04 Do you adjust children and babies?
Yes. Pediatric chiropractic is a core specialization here, and Charleston Chiropractic Studio is known as Charleston's premier pediatric and family wellness practice. Care for infants, toddlers, and kids of every age is gentle, specific, and explained clearly so parents know exactly what is happening at each step.
05 Will my child need X-rays?
We use in-house digital radiography when it is clinically indicated. Many visits begin with analysis and conversation; imaging is ordered only when it helps us pinpoint the segment involved.
06 Can parents be seen at the same visit?

Chiropractic care during pregnancy
07 Can I be adjusted while pregnant?
Yes. Chiropractic care during pregnancy is one of our specialties, and prenatal care is a specialization of the doctors. Your visit is personalized and unhurried, adapted to each stage of your pregnancy.
How we find the problem
08 Will I get X-rays?
When clinically indicated, yes. We use in-house digital radiography, and digital X-rays are taken in the Studio so your care is based on what your spine actually shows rather than guesswork.
09 Is sciatica always a disc problem?
Not always. Leg pain can relate to how a specific spinal segment is moving and loading the nerve. That is why we analyze first with Gonstead-style assessment and in-house digital radiography when indicated.
Doctors, hours, and location
10 Who will I see at the studio?
Two doctors, husband and wife: Dr. Kasandra Ruettiger and Dr. Leo Ruettiger, the co-owners. Both are dedicated to your whole family's health and have cared for Charleston families here since 2019.
11 When is the studio open?
We keep a focused four-day week with morning and afternoon or evening blocks on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and we are closed Friday through Sunday. See the full hours grid on our contact page, or call (843) 852-4141 and we will find a time that fits.
12 What areas do you serve?
Our studio is in West Ashley at 1941 Savage Road Suite 300-D, Charleston, SC 29407. Families come to us from Charleston, Mt Pleasant, Summerville, James Island, and Johns Island.
Insurance, the VA, and payment
13 Do you take insurance?
We work with most commercial insurance companies. A $50 deposit is collected until your benefits are verified, then applied toward your care. Please note that we are non-participating with Medicare and do not accept Medicaid.
14 Do you work with the VA?
Yes. Charleston Chiropractic Studio is a Preferred VA Community Care Provider and works directly with Community Care, so eligible veterans can be seen here through their VA referral.
